Sewer Line Repair in Goodyear, AZ
Goodyear sewer lines are mostly newer PVC, but settling, landscaping and growing trees can still cause trouble. We clear backups, find the cause, and repair it properly.
- Main line backups
- Settling and damage
- Family owned

Newer Lines, Different Problems
Goodyear homes built in the last twenty-five years generally have PVC sewer laterals. These do not corrode and resist roots better than older materials. But we still see sewer problems here, usually from:
- Settling. Soil under the line settles unevenly and creates a belly.
- Landscaping. Trees planted when the home was new are now large enough for their roots to find a loose joint.
- Construction damage. Pools, patios, fences and additions can damage a line.
- Buildup. Grease and wipes clog even new pipe.
Pool and Patio Projects
Adding a pool, a new patio or a block wall is common in Goodyear. If your sewer line runs through the work area, heavy equipment or digging can crack or crush it. Sometimes the damage does not show up until months later, when drains start backing up.
If your backups started after a backyard or front yard project, tell us. It helps us narrow down where to look.
Repairing Goodyear Sewer Lines
We clear the line, locate the problem, and explain the repair. For bellies and damaged sections, we excavate and replace that section on properly compacted bedding. For lines with multiple problems, full replacement may be the better choice.
More on our process is on our main Peoria sewer line page. For simple clogs, see our Goodyear drain cleaning page.

Settling in Newer Communities
Goodyear has grown quickly, and new homes are often built on land that was farmland or desert not long ago. Backfill around sewer lines is supposed to be compacted during construction, but when it is not compacted evenly, the soil can settle over the first several years. A section of pipe settles with it and forms a belly.
Bellies cause a specific pattern: the same line clogs at roughly the same distance from the cleanout, again and again. Clearing it helps for a while, but waste keeps collecting in the low spot.
The fix is excavating at the belly, removing the sagging section, properly compacting the bedding and relaying the pipe at the right slope. It is a straightforward repair once the location is known.
Signs to Watch For
Gurgling toilets, slow drains throughout the house, water rising in the tub when you flush, and sewer smells near the cleanout are all signs of a main line problem. In newer Goodyear homes, catching it early usually means a smaller repair.
Sewer Work Reviews From the Goodyear Area
Alex was upfront about the cost and timeframe. Great communication on his end which is important cause I’m busy and I’m sure he is too. He came when he said he would. He was ultra courteous, explained the details of the job and did the work quickly. I will use him again for future plumbing needs.
Bob Gamboa
Alex arrived at our house on short notice. He did a great job and explained the cause (which I always appreciate) of the clogs, so I can hopefully prevent in future. Prompt and courteous. I recommend him and his brother.
